Monoclonal antibodies

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Why do we now hear about use of monoclonal antibodies?  NIH guidelines are for two versions which are both primarily given by infusion in a clinical setting.  Apparently Gov Desantis has found a way to offer Regeneron at centers located in multiple locations in FL.  The alternate antibody is superior to Regeneron for fighting Delta variant, but is too new to be in a stockpile.  It remains to be seen if the vaccines are protective against the delta variant either. Monoclonal antibodies certainly are more expensive than Remdesivir with D3, Zithromyacin and zinc.  This therapeutic appears to have some antiviral properties too.  Why isn’t there a Governor offering this treatment?</p>
